Among the pasta courses - the glory of Italian food - the specialty of the house is the “Checchette Laurus”, delicate small dumplings with lardo di Colonnata and zucchini cream. Traditional pasta courses, such as “amatriciana” and “gricia” are also of excellent quality, together with home made fresh pasta with bacon and Pachino tomatoes.
Meat -LAURUS’ proud- is prepared in several different ways from the filet tartare, to the “tagliata” with Lardo di Colonnata or balsamic vinegar, to the excellent filet in potato crust. Most recently we have added to our menu a number of excellent sea-food dishes, the specialty of our Chef, Mr. Fabio Caracciolo.
You can accompany your meal with a wide selection of the best Italian white and red wines.
Pizza is also worth of mention: thin, crisp and tasty, it is prepared in full respect of the best Rome style pizza tradition.
Last, but not least, desserts are the natural conclusion of a good and satisying meal: they are all handmade by our Chef. At the end the meal, a nice surprise: your incredibly cheap check.
